Poor product support! Lost my business!

I bought this blender about 2 years ago (CSB76). It runs well but the plastic beaker that comes with it began to develop cracks after about a year. I kept using it until it began to leak, at which point I contacted Cuisinart to to request a replacement. I was told that although that they couldn't send me a replacement without a receipt. By the way, we were still in the warranty period according to the model number.Unfortunately, i don't have my receipt and despite several emails to their customer service department stating that they would lose my business forever if they didn't replace the beaker, I go the same reply. All because of a $5 part.So now they have lost my business. Forever. And I will not recommend anyone buy their products because Cuisinart does not stand by their products when they break.See portion of email from customer service below:Valued Customer,We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced regarding your stick blender. Based on the information you have provided CSB-76 / 81210, unfortunately the unit is out of the manufacturer's warranty.If the beaker is the only part needed, the only other option that we can offer to you is to sell the beaker at the cost of $4.50 plus shipping and processing fees.

Powerful Tool

Used this to grind up horse radish from fresh root (after my mini food processor failed.) The handle detaches conveniently from the base for easy cleanup. Couldn't have asked for more.
