Not worth the money!!

The blender heats up just after few minutes of use and does not puree well. I mean if I compare it to a $20 blender its no where close. The only thing I liked about this would be that it is stainless steel.The main issue I have is with the chopping attachment. When you shake the lid, you can hear water trapped inside....gross. Even after my several attempts I have nt been successful to get rid of it completely.Total waste of $45.....simply hate it.

a must have hand blender

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She is so happy with it. She loves the fact she can use it in hot or cold dishes. Mush easier than getting the blender out and pouring hot liquids into it.

Good price and features but...

This is a very attractive blender. I like the fact that the blended part can be separated from the motor for cleaning. It is stainless steel so that is a plus. I blend soup right in the pot so I don't have to worry about it melting. This blender has 400 watts but a very tiny blender blade. It takes me about 2 - 3 minutes to blend a pot of soup and I have to put the blender aside after 1 minute of use to keep from burning up the motor. The unit DOES get hot after about two minutes of use. I like to blend soups until they are velvety smooth. Not going to happen with this blender until you maybe blend for 10 minutes or so. In fairness, it was a large pot of soup with a whole (cut up) cauliflower and head of brocolli in chicken broth. For future use, I will know to cut up the produce much finer for cooking. It has two speeds. You have to hold down the button the entire time you are using it but that is not a problem. The button is in a handy place. I have not used the chopper attachment but frankly I bought this for the blender itself and did not want a bunch of attachments I would never use. My previous blender was a rival but they don't make them anymore. The rival had less watts but a bigger blade. It was also plastic. It was good enough until I got water in the housing. For the price, I think this blender beats everrything else I looked at. It had no rating which was a concern to me, so I thought I would rate it. You could buy a better blender but you will pay much more for a better one.
